It is my
privilege to recommend Mr. Emery for the Announcer of the
Year. Rob has been a staple in LCC Athletics for a number
of years. Year in and year out he has done a great job for
our department. I cannot count the times that numerous
people have complimented his skills. He has always been
professional and he makes it very enjoyable for our student
athletes, fans, and parents to enjoy our athletic events.
He is a consummate professional and will continue to impress
anyone that attends an event that is announced by Mr. Rob
Emery. |

I am writing on
behalf of our announcer Rob Emery. I was informed that our
Athletic Director expressed a desire to nominate Rob as the
"Announcer of the Year". I truly believe that Rob has long
been more that worthy of such an accolade. I have had the
pleasure of Rob's services for the past six years at Labette
Community College. Rob is a rare product for our area. He
had faithfully announced our home games and has provided a
service that is second to none. He is by and far leaps and
bounds above any announcer I have heard at any of the arenas
we have visited. This includes larger schools with large
budgets and to include 4 year universities I have visited.
His professionalism gives our school and community a great
sense of organization and stability. We know that we can
always look forward to great announcing and a well organized
show when Rob is at our announcing table. He has worked
with all athletic departments throughout our school and
other coaches have commented to me that they wish they had
Rob in their arsenal. It is evident that he is the best
announcer in our area as he is become the voice of the
Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Basketball
Shootout held each year. His energy and
equipment
is amazing to us and there is a notable difference between
he and other announcers When our team travels we can easily
distinguish a difference in the professionalism displayed.
It is my belief that we are a very privileged school to have
him. He has the voice and articulation that one would find
in a larger venue. I nicknamed Rob "The Voice" because he
has always thrilled the crowds with his gift. |

My name is Jaime
Green and I am the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Labette
Community College in Parsons, KS. It is both an honor and
privilege to nominate Rob Emery as the Announcer of the
Year. Mr. Emery has been the voice of Lady Cardinal
Basketball for the past 27 years. Throughout my tenure as
Head Coach I have received many compliments for NCAA D-1
coaches, spectators, and recruits in regards to what an
amazing job Mr. Emery does. In my opinion, Mr. Emery raised
the atmospheric level of every game he is involved in with
his energetic music and unique, crisp voice. Rob Emery's
professionalism and tireless preparation is what has
positioned his talent to outshine everyone in his field of
expertise. |

It is my great
pleasure that I write this letter of support for Mr. Rob
Emery. I have personally known Mr. Rob Emery for over 15
years. Our relationship started when I was competing at
Labette Community College as a wrestler for the
institution. Since then, I have taken over as the Head
Wrestling Coach for Labette Community College and we have
further used Mr. Emery's services as an announcer here. Rob
has been announcing at our college events for over 28 years
and has gone above and beyond the call of duty for any event
we host. Announcing at basketball games, wrestling events,
and even baseball games are just a few of the procedures
that he had partaken in. He has also been involved in any
celebratory occasion that has needed announcing as well. I
have always appreciated Mr. Emery's professionalism and
knowledge for whatever event we host as well as he has
always created a positive environment for our events.
Atmosphere is a crucial trait when attracting fans to a
sporting event and Rob has successfully provided the best
possible situation every time. Rob has maintained accuracy
with all rules regarding the sporting event he is announcing
at and has an unbelievable proficiency when addressing the
public. Mr. Emery has a sharp, clean, easy to hear and
understand voice that is remembered by thousands of fans,
way after the even has taken place. It is certainly my
privilege to recommend Mr. Rob Emery for this year's
National Association of Sports Public Address Announcers,
"Announcer of the Year". |
